Honey

Alonissos Honey

Our next-door-neighbour, Dimitri, the island's bee keeper, produces delicious Alonissos honey and sells it from his tiny shop in the village.  The island is carpeted with wild flowers in Spring, and so Dimitri's bees make very special Alonissos-tasting honey.  This morning, in England, with the rain lashing our windows, I opened a new jar of Dimitri's honey and ate it on my porridge..... and you know what? I could almost feel the sunshine.

19C in Alonissos

Warm Alonissos Autumn

It's a warm 19C in Alonissos right now, and the sun is shining.  Here in our part of England, as I write this, the temperature is 5C.  Even though the sun is shining and it's been a very beautiful Autumn, the depressing thought of long grey winter days lies ahead.  But to cheer ourselves up, we've been planning our next few visits to our favourite island and booking our flights.  We just can't wait to be back at Petros Cottage.  So here are a few images to show you what we're looking forward to....
